OLD MARKET. This Mexican cuisine restaurant may create an intimate ambience (there are candle-lit tables and low lighting), but its hearty and filling cuisine is what keeps locals and tourists coming back. Trini's serves favorites like tacos, enchiladas, and burritos as well as a number of appetizers and desserts. Soups are a great starter here and include classics like menudo and caldo xochitl. There are also vegetarian choices available. The restaurant has margarita specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well. Prices are relatively inexpensive, and the staff is very friendly.
